Contains an on-board PIN pad for PIN authentication. Contains an on-board LDC screen for communication to the user. Currently contains a driver based on the GEM-API by Gemplus for Windows. It is a serial reader requiring external power supply provided. It reads Asynchronous / Synchronous smartcards T=0/1. It is a reader / writer. This reader is not EMV compliant.
